The Big Dipper W-200-IS Automatic Grease Removal Device is rated to the PDI-G 101, and ASME A112.14.3 and A112.14.4 standards and is capable of accepting up to a 20 GPM (1.26 l/s) flow while holding more than 47 lbs. (21.4 kg) of grease. The center module which comes with digital time control, heater assembly, and mechanized skimming assembly, automatically isolates trapped grease into grease collector for easy disposal.
The Big Dipper automatic grease removal device lets you take control of grease and small food particles in an easier and more hygienic way. Its electrical assembly includes a heater, skimming wheel and skim setting controls that work together to remove grease from the tank and store it in a separate grease collector.
With the NEW Advanced Maintenance Assistant option, select Big Dipper Units, including the W-250-AST, also automatically empty small food particles from the basket filter, sending them down the sewer line. Taking just 1 minute a day to empty the grease collector limits exposure to small food particles, grease and fats while eliminating pumping fees.

The AST range of units provide full automatic grease removal and solids handling. Incidental solids are strained out of the kitchen wastewater and trapped in the solids chamber. Periodically, a water-driven eductor automatically empties the incidental solids out of the solids chamber. Like the point of source Big Dipper units, the AST series has a skimming wheel system inside the unit which skims the fats, oils & grease out of the retention area when activated by an integral timer. AST models treat kitchen wastewater flows of 4.73 & 7.89 litres per second.
